Puppy and Kitten Rescue
East Mountain Companion Animal Project is a foster-based network, intending to keep puppies and kittens out of shelters and off of Craigslist. Baby animals that are taken to shelters take up valuable kennel space as well as taking attention and possible adopters from the harder-to-place adult dogs and cats. When they are "rehomed" online or in front of stores, they are rarely vetted- continuing the cycle of pet overpopulation and the spread of communicable diseases into our communities. Rescue- it's the only responsible choice. Check out our adoptable animals below.
Emergency Rescue Services
We partner with many organizations, shelters and rescues across our state in emergencies. Animals are often forgotten, left behind or abused and we vow to step up and be their voice. Check out some of the rescue missions we have led in our blog below. If you see something- say something.
Community Outreach
Whether teaching Girl Scouts about animal safety or passing out dog food to the community, and so many things in between… You can count on East Mountain Companion Animal Project to jump into action..
Our belief is that the best way to ensure a bright future for pets is to teach the children animal safety and care. If you have a kid’s group you would like us to present too, send a message below. We will come out with some puppies and kittens for a fun, informative afternoon.
But that’s not all- we do discussion groups for adults as well! We can discuss your areas animal control ordinances, resources for animal care, or safe animal handling.
We do offer drive through pet food pantries periodically, at the Moriarty Animal Control- check the event section below for dates and times.

Puppy Yoga!
We bring the instructor, mats, and puppies. You provide the space.
Let’s set up your next team building event, add a little excitement to your weekly mom group or help you with a Girl Scout badge for exercise

The Puppy Pit!
Have you ever wanted to just jump into a big pile of puppies? We can help with that. This is a great time, for your kids birthday party, set up Petting zoo style. Imagine the feel good chemicals you will get flowing surrounded by puppies, covered in kisses!! We can bring the Puppy Pit to your house, office or school event! We can put them in a wagon and bring them to brighten your coworkers day or bring a birthday balloon bouquet to your kiddos class! Let us make your holiday better by having Santa bring a sleigh full of puppies to your holiday party!
